Welcome to the new site

For the first two years of its existance, the Portland Web Innovators site was only a forum. It was a good place to communicate amongst the group, but it lacked basic information about the group.

With our re-launch, we've taken a major step. And now we have a platform for some of the things we've talked about for awhile, such as a aggregator for outside member blogs.

We were unable to transfer posts or user accounts from the previous forums. Sorry about that. But we do have new forums ready to be used.

While I'm at it, a few thank yous:

  • Needmore Designs for hosting the old forum for two years. I know it was a bit of a pain from an administration standpoint.
  • Lev from Level OS, who put together the Drupal installation, helped mightily along the way, and now has agreed to host it.
  • Matt Beck of CouldBe Studios and Ray Brigleb (Needmore), for taking a few hours out of a Saturday to help explore Drupal's many options.

This thing isn't done. I'd love to know what we should tweak to make it more useful as a community resource.
